The Gibson County Visual Arts Association is proud to offer a TOM LYNCH-- "WATERCOLOR SECRETS REVEALED" 5 DAY WORKSHOP, May 4 -8, 2015 in nearby Trenton / Milan, Tennessee.  LYNCH will also be our juror for the GCVAA 2015 National Exhibition.
Here is a preview:

TOM LYNCH  HAS BEEN SELECTED BY AMERICAN ARTIST MAGAZINE AS ONE OF THE
"TOP 20" TEACHERS IN THE NATION!

DON'T MISS THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO STUDY WITH A MASTER TEACHER WITH 30 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE  * AUTHOR OF 7 BOOKS AND 5 TV SERIES

WHAT PAST STUDENTS HAVE SAID..."NEVER A DULL MOMENT"..."PATIENT-POSITIVE-FUN"..."GREAT DEMOS AND CRITIQUES"..."VERY ORGANIZED AND HELPFUL"...
"WONDERFUL VISUAL AIDS"..."MOST I EVER LEARNED IN ONE DAY"

Tom's objective is to show the vast range and flexibility of watercolor.  You will learn new techniques; how to plan for success; build a successful painting; and to put drama, emotion, and conviction into your art.  This award winning artist will show you how to push the limits of color, contrast
, and light.  Tom likes to put fun into the process of painting.  He has an organized program, with lots of visuals, that sets a goal for each day and sees that each student has an example and understanding of that day's lesson.  You will see daily demonstrations with detailed explanations of all the how's and why's, followed by plenty of individual attention, and a positive critique session.
GET READY FOR THE WATERCOLOR WORLD OF TOM LYNCH!

No doubt this WILL be the one of the best workshops GCVAA has been able to bring to our artists through a matching grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission.  Today I received a beautiful Tom Lynch  print that will be presented as a door prize at the workshop. I also received a great publicity packet including cards and posters.
IMPRESSIVE!  As our class has room for ONLY TWO more lucky participants I know I am looking forward to this workshop, MAY 4-8, 2015!

Retired Art and Drama Instructor / Professional Artist

I truly believe GCVAA is one of the most amazing art organizations in Tennessee.  My life changed when I became a part of GCVAA about 14 years ago.  I have learned so much from all their wonderful workshops featuring the best in watercolor.  GCVAA has served me well in my second career as a professional artist.
